With the arrival of Spring and my son now in preschool, I have found myself in the throes of planning for our March break. Given Patrick’s adventurous spirit and my joy for motherhood, I am truly looking forward to spending some quality time with my favourite little person.
Since becoming a mother I have discovered that life flows more smoothly if:
Little ones have simple routines
Little ones socialize with familiar peers; and
When a model of education follows a theme
To keep things simple take a peek at our theme based schedule for the week. “Let’s Learn About Animals”
Monday: A visit to the Locke branch of Toronto Public Library to choose a few animal books and meet up with Patrick’s classmates to participate in some fun library activities.
Tuesday: Visit a friend’s farm and meet the animals.
Wednesday: Craft day – learning our colors, here is a fun creative activity to try with your little one “Hi-Five Felt Colors”
Thursday: A day at the Toronto Zoo
Friday: Social activity with other preschool classmates followed by another craft “Animal Names & Parts”
Of course, as a lifestyle photographer, I will be documenting every moment, so please do check in again at Life In 24 Frames at the end of this month to enjoy our adventures.
And so – what are your plans? I’d love to hear about your adventures.
Wishing you all a fun filled week with your little ones. Here is Patrick below drawing puppy dogs 🙂
